Godfrey Townsend has appeared frequently at BB King's Blues Club in New York City's Times Square, both with major artists and with his own band. He has appeared there and performed to sold-out crowds with his annual birthday tribute to Eric Clapton for the past 9 years.

Godfrey and Giorgio first meeting truly underline the fact that nothing happens casually! Giorgio and Alex were walking through the booths of the Namm Show 2009 till reaching a place where Alan Parson's new DVD was being advertised. The kind man over there offered the two friends tickets to see Alan Parson's Live Project that very night and they then discovered that their tickets were followed by backstage passes too!
Giorgio and Godfrey so met at the Alan Parsons project concert aftershow in Los Angeles. Just the time for congratulating for the show and then each one took his way back to the hotel...
The day after, Giorgio and Godfrey casually re-met and recognized each other and stopped for a quick chat. At that time just could not avoid to talk about POTC and invited Godfrey to be part of it!
